Storm Spotter & Tornado Chaser
Spent 6 years tracking severe supercell thunderstorms and tornadic systems with the National Weather Service, intercepting severe weather to provide critical ground-truth radar validation and early warning telemetry.
Welcome to the Vapok Gaming Community! I've been a passionate gamer my entire life, and my mission here has always been two-fold: engineering rock-solid, production-grade modifications that genuinely elevate your gameplay, and cultivating a safe, welcoming, and vibrant space for gamers to chat, team up, and build lifelong friendships.
Whether designing deep inventory automation systems for Valheim, coordinating multiplayer server megabases, or collaborating with fellow creators, everything built here is guided by a commitment to zero save-corruption risk, clean code, open collaboration, and pure love for gaming.
My competitive roots started with a core clan called Skullz.net during the golden age of Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat (Half-Life). That group forged some of the strongest lifelong friendships of my entire life, and it has been fantastic watching that grassroots community grow into a full-fledged international eSports brand and lifestyle apparel organization (Skullz.com).
For approximately six years, I was deeply involved with Penny Arcade and the PAX convention network. Serving as a PAX Enforcer and PC Room Manager across 11 PAX Prime (Seattle) and PAX East (Boston) conventions, I was responsible for architecting, deploying, managing, and maintaining massive high-density PC LAN gaming rooms serving tens of thousands of attendees over action-packed four-day convention weekends.
Before entering the game modding space, I spent nearly 25 years as an enterprise software developer and systems engineer. My technical background spans full-stack and low-level development across C# / .NET, C++, Java, PHP, and Python. That decades-long experience in systems resilience, thread safety, and performance profiling is the exact foundation applied to every mod released under the Vapok moniker.
Starting in November 2022, I turned my attention to decompiling, patching, and engineering modifications for Valheim (and later Techtonica). Projects like AdventureBackpacks, AutoFeedRedux, XPortalNetworks, FastItemTransfer, and ShieldMeBruh have amassed hundreds of thousands of community downloads, with zero tolerance for save corruption and an emphasis on native game feel.

Served 4.5 years as a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Firefighter, responding to emergency medical crises, structural fire attacks, and vehicle rescue incidents across the community.
Began flying airplanes at age 15 — piloting real aircraft in the skies well before earning a driver's license or driving a car on public roads. Passionate general aviation enthusiast.
Featured speaker at global technology conferences. Also spent 3.5 years as a certified professional wedding planner, event director, and live disc jockey hosting premier celebrations.
